An Extraordinary Desert Oasis Community
The Tri-Cities enjoys an easy-going lifestyle where there’s something to do that fits everyone’s idea of fun. Mild weather, 300 days a year of sun, and easy access to three rivers provides many opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoors: from playing golf, fishing and boating to biking, hiking and strolling along miles of trails.
All that sun and good soil has made the region one of the best wine-grape growing regions in the world. The Tri-Cities is located in the heart of Washington wine country. The area also boasts 75 public parks, 10 public golf courses, a class A Minor League baseball team, a major junior Western Hockey League, professional ice hockey team, a semi-pro football team and an annual professional hydroplane race. The area also has great sports facilities for soccer and softball, ice rinks, rodeo/equestrian arenas, an ORV park, and more. For adventure enthusiasts, there are guided jet-boat tours of the Columbia River with a professional guide who provides an inspiring look at the geology, history and ecology of the area.
Cultural opportunities are also plentiful in the area, with 18 museums and art galleries, five public libraries, two community and performing arts theatres, the Richland Light Opera, the Mid-Columbia Ballet, and the Mid-Columbia Symphony
